Google is launching Gemini 3 Flash, a new Gemini 3-family model designed to deliver āfrontierā reasoning and multimodal performance with much lower latency and cost.
Itās rolling out across the Gemini app (now the default), Searchās AI Mode, and developer/enterprise platforms like the Gemini API, Vertex AI, and Gemini Enterprise. Google says itās 3Ć faster than Gemini 2.5 Pro, uses fewer tokens on average, and is priced at $0.50/M input and $3/M output tokens.
DOE lines up 24 partners for āGenesisā AI-for-science push š¤

The U.S. Department of Energy signed collaboration agreements with 24 organizations to support the Genesis Mission, a national initiative using AI to speed up scientific discovery, bolster national security, and spur energy innovation.
The effort aims to build scalable, architecture-agnostic AI infrastructure through public-private partnerships across labs, universities, nonprofits, and industry. DOE also opened two requests for information, with deadlines in mid- and late-January 2026.
