ChatGPT gets a privacy-focused health hub for your records and wellness data 🩺

OpenAI is launching ChatGPT Health, a separate, security-hardened space in ChatGPT where you can connect medical records and wellness apps (like Apple Health and MyFitnessPal) to get more personalized help understanding labs, spotting trends, and preparing for doctor visits.

It’s designed to support, not replace, clinicians, and Health chats aren’t used to train foundation models. Access starts via waitlist, rolling out first to a small group (with some integrations U.S.-only).

Utah greenlights AI-powered refill renewals pilot šŸ„

Utah has partnered with health platform Doctronic to pilot an AI system that can help approve routine prescription renewals for chronic conditions inside the state’s regulatory ā€œsandbox.ā€

Officials say the goal is to cut delays that cause missed doses, reduce clinician paperwork, and improve adherence, while closely measuring safety, patient experience, workflow impact, and costs. Results will be published to guide future state and federal rules on autonomous AI in healthcare.

One Night of Sleep and AI predicts 100+ Diseases 😓

Stanford Medicine researchers unveiled SleepFM, an AI ā€œfoundation modelā€ trained on nearly 600, 000 hours of overnight polysomnography data from 65, 000 people.

Using rich signals like brainwaves, heart rhythm, breathing and movement, it can be fine-tuned to predict risk for 130 future conditions, ranging from dementia and Parkinson’s to heart attack and some cancers, with strong accuracy in several areas. The team is working on interpretability and adding wearable data.
