Anthropic unveiled Claude Sonnet 4.5, a state‑of‑the‑art coding and agent model with major gains in computer use, reasoning, and math. It tops SWE-bench and OSWorld (61.4%).

New perks: Claude Code checkpoints, VS Code extension, code execution and file creation in chats, and an Agent SDK. Safety is and available now at Sonnet 4 pricing, plus a 5‑day “Imagine with Claude” preview.

AI breezes through CFA Level III mock exams in minutes

NYU Stern and GoodFin tested 23 LLMs on CFA Level III mock exams and found frontier models, o4-mini, Gemini 2.5 Pro, Claude Opus, can pass via chain-of-thought prompting, including essay sections once thought out of reach.

The exam centers on portfolio management and wealth planning. Researchers see transformative potential for finance workflows, though human judgment remains vital for context and intent, says GoodFin’s CEO Anna Joo Fee.
